I'm a little embarrassed to admit that my family (at least the kids and I) fall into the latter category. An in-depth exploration of how the idea of a Halloween "theme" first took root in our household is posted on the Chicago Moms Blog, so check it out. You can also see our very first Halloween theme on display at The Animal Store blog, where we are celebrating the 16th anniversary of our grand opening.
In the meantime, see if you can spot the theme from our past Halloween exploits. I'd love to hear how you celebrate. Leave a comment here.
This theme is pretty obvious,
but can you guess which two are twins?
This is a bit of a stretch, but you can get it.
Come on, what do Captain Jack, the Pirate Queen
a Navy admiral and a scuba diver have in common?

Ask this blogger to show you 15 years of themes at Halloween!!! They are great and she made them all from scratch.
Ohhhhhhh!!!! This is so cute!! Amazing - and worth all the hard work. I love seeing how the kids grow up too. But I'm lost with the scuba diver. And the Navy admiral - is this some variation on Gilligan's Island?
These are awesome! They are so lucky to have such a creative mom.
I LOVE that they all agree to a theme!! What a great tradition...
I just ran across your blog and I have to say from what I have seen its fascinating! such creativity! Im a single mother that just started blogging. check it out if you have time!
Cassie, I tried to check out your blog but couldn't link back to you. Let me know where I can find it.
